Smart IT has been contracted by our company to provide IT support and website design for over 5 years. We have found the business to be trustworthy and reliable. Always willing to respond to our needs (call outs etc). we have a good business relationship with them built on trust and mutual understanding of each other’s business.

Smart IT Support installed our new network and have always been prompt, reliable and efficient in dealing with any of our system and other hardware related requirements, whether by telephone support or on site visits. Their support avoids us from being sidetracked from what we’re paid to do ourselves, and that is to look after OUR OWN clients in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Our business is 90% reliant upon a fully integrated IT network to enable production of reports, run design software, and plot AudoCAD based drawings. The IT network can also be accessed through a VPN link allowing employees to work remotely, either from home or when on site.
Smart IT has played an essential role in expanding the network, giving much needed advice on hardware solutions, security, and back-up facilities, etc. and all explained in a manner which we understand. They have always delivered a prompt and efficient service, tailored to suit our needs, at a time convenient to us.

Having upgraded our server, with all of the associated problems, and wasted a substantial number of chargeable man hours doing so we looked around for a suitable IT support service provider. We obtained quotes and met with a number of IT support service providers, both local and national before choosing SmartIT. Mark (Hickin) our account manager spent time with us explaining the services Smart IT provide and how these could benefit our company, and since signing with Smart IT I think it fair to say, stealing a line from a well-known wood care specialist’s TV advert, “It does exactly what it says on the tin.”
Our server has run perfectly, any problems / queries have been addressed promptly & professionally by the Smart IT staff.
To be honest my only regret is not contacting them to have them configure the server on the first place which would have saved me substantial time (& that’s now lost billing time).
We have worked with SMART IT for nearly 2 years and found their level of service to be excellent. They are always quick to respond to requests, and are always on hand for general advice. With regard to business critical problems, they are always available to provide competent and straightforward advice and offer the appropriate solution. With most IT problems, it can be a major headache at times, however having SMART IT to assist and maintain our ICT infrastructure provides added re-assurance that it’s being managed and controlled in the right manner. In addition to support, there are equally competitive on price which in the current climate is very re-assuring.
I can confirm that we have worked with Smart IT and Shaun for several years now. Through them we lease our main printer/copier/scanner/fax and we also lease our telephone system through them and they provide the maintenance for the telephones.
This year we have upgraded our telephone system to something more 21st Century. We invited 3 providers to review our needs and put together a proposal. At the end of this we appointed Smart IT.
The decision was not influenced by staying with who we knew; we were quite prepared to use a different supplier but as we went through the process it became increasingly apparent that Smart IT were trying to build something which best met our needs and that they were willing to be flexible to achieve this.
Our new system is now installed. Smart IT were very good at working around us during the installation and their engineers have been very helpful with educating staff and remediating any teething problems.
Ultimately I do think with Smart IT you get a local, personal service from a team of people who are keen to support their clients and who work in a professional manner to deliver bespoke business solutions.
Smart IT have produced 2 separate websites for both of our businesses. From the initial consultation through to the final product and support thereafter, I could not recommend them highly enough. They are quick to respond to every question and as someone with a small amount of technical IT knowledge, there have been many questions!! The websites themselves are full CMS and at first while it was a little daunting, the training given by Smart IT was exceptional. Due to the user friendly design of the system and the ongoing support we picked it up far quicker than anticipated and the feedback we receive from our clients about the website is fantastic.
As a small but fast growing business, our needs are changing all of the time, Smart IT could not be more helpful and flexible in helping us to find solutions and then implement these quickly and cost effectively. The standard of service is exceptional and we have found the support staff on the phone both friendly and helpful 100% of the time (and there has been a lot of phone calls!)
